Our company was established in 2003, but our roots go back much further than that. Our employees have covered wars in Africa and the Middle East. We’ve worked with celebrities, famous politicians, and regular people making a difference all over the world. Our work has been broadcast locally, nationally, and internationally on network television.

But all things considered, we’d rather be here in Mid-Michigan working with the people we know. Businesses large and small, non-profits and political campaigns, municipal and state governments have come to us when they need all of the power of modern media, but also want affordability and experience that goes back decades and decades.

Our founder, Ed Cheeney, got the photography bug in high school. He soon began work for local newspapers and television stations back when footage was captured on film, rather than videotape. His work caught the eye of international media companies and he went to work as a globetrotting journalist. Eventually, being shot at and arrested lost its charm and he brought his family back to Michigan and founded two media companies. Cheeney Media Corporation is the culmination of his work to create an organization that would always be at the forefront of exploring what media can do.
